Reheat Instructions

We use a 350ºF degree oven because that’s generally what any other items will need to be cooked at.  Any temperature between 325-375ºF will be just fine. Please note that not all ovens & microwave ovens are the same, so you will need to pay attention to temperatures, and adjust as needed. In some cases, a toaster oven will work just fine as well.

We know styrofoam is a bummer.  And it is NOT microwave safe. We're looking for better options!

All casseroles, lasagnas, & bakes will heat best if they are brought to room temperature before being heated.  Everything is fully cooked and just needs to be reheated.

Bake at 350º

25-30 min.

Lasagnas, Macaroni & Cheese, Enchilada Bakes, Tamale Pie, and Cottage Pie

Oven: Cover with a piece of foil, place in a 350 oven for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.  If you’d like the top a little browner, you can remove the cover for the last 5 minutes.

Microwave Oven: Place the serving size you’d like on a microwave safe dish and heat for 5 minutes at a time at full power until heated through.

*If you aren’t going to serve the whole dish at once, I recommend cutting the amount you’d like to set aside, wrapping it in plastic wrap & then foil, & storing in the freezer.

Bake at 350º

30 min.

Meatloaf

Oven: Reheating a whole meatloaf: Remove plastic cover, & cover tightly in foil & heat in a 350 oven until nice & hot.  This can take up to 30 minutes.

Individual portions of meatloaf can be heated in a buttered pan, or in the oven in a foil pouch at 350 degrees.

Microwave Oven: Heat by the slice.

Bake at 250º

20 min.

Fried Chicken

Oven: Reheat fried chicken either in the oven on a sheet until desired temperature is reached, usually about 20 minutes.

Microwave Oven:

For a quicker & perfectly good crust, microwave until the internal temperature is where you want it, and finish the chicken under the broiler, (middle of the oven), until crisped up. Fried chicken can also be wrapped & frozen.

Bake at 350º

Microwave Oven: Move to microwave safe plate, microwave for 5 minutes at a time until the center is hot.

Bake at 350º

Quiche

Oven:  To warm a whole quiche, cover with aluminum foil & place in the oven, straight on the rack for about 15 minutes, or until just heated through.  Make sure the oven is completely warmed & ready, or the bottom crust will burn.

Toaster Oven: Great option for individual servings. We do not recommend microwaving as the crust will turn soggy.

Bake at 350º

Chicken Pot Pie

Oven:
Bake at 350º with the foil on for 20 minutes or so. Remove foil and continue baking for 5 minutes. When it starts bubbling, it's done!

Date Night Dinner - Steaks

This whole dinner should only take about 20 minutes to prepare! Check out our sides section below for reheat instructions on mashed potatoes, mushrooms and focaccia.

Steaks:
Cooked to medium rare. Steaks sear best when they are dry & at room temperature. Remove the steaks from their bag, pat dry, & leave on a plate or sheet pan until ready to cook.

Grill:  High heat, 3-4 minutes per side will take them to the edge of medium rare/medium.  Add 4 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached.

Stovetop: Heat fat in a pan until smoking. Add steaks for 3 minutes per side. Add 3 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached.

Broiler: Place steaks on a flat pan, with as low of sides as possible.  Place under broiler for 3 minutes per side, adding time for each level of doneness shown above.

Let steaks rest for 3-4 minutes before serving, salt when plated.

Bake at 325º

25 min.

Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes

Oven:   Mashed potatoes are in an oven safe container. With the cover on, heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stovetop: Spoon mashed potatoes into a heavy bottomed pot set at medium heat.  Cover, & heat for 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally.

Potatoes Au Gratin
