Our Story

Fat Milo's Family Kitchen was founded by a family who have always liked to eat, drink, and create amazing food together. Our hobby quickly led us to opening this Family Kitchen, a place where people from all over can meet to enjoy our special dishes and comfortable atmosphere.

Fresh, locally sourced, natural foods and creativity are our favorite ingredients. With Rachel in the kitchen, and Miles behind the beverages, the two work together with their family and crew to create a place where folks can gather and share a meal made from the best locally sourced ingredients they can find.

Rachel & Miles


Fat Milo’s was started in 2010 by Miles & Rachel Schoening and their four children. It was always in their hearts and minds to come together and open their own restaurant in the place they had called home for so many years.


Family Dog

The restaurant, named after the family’s golden retriever, Milo, is an homage to the small town main street diners across the country that the family has loved and visited over the years.


Front End Hospitality

A very strong group of workers who have years of restaurant and management experience. Working hard to strive to bring the family back into family dining.
